A prototype unit exists to be judged and approved. It is where you confirm the material family, the finish, the hardware feel, the construction and the tolerances against a real object you can open, close, load and inspect. A production unit exists to reproduce that approval faithfully, at volume. Once you approve a prototype, you are not approving a look — you are setting the reference the entire batch will be measured against. Every later argument about "is this right?" should resolve by comparing the delivered unit to the approved prototype, not to memory or to a rendering. In ALUMAX's model this is deliberate: design one unit, approve a real prototype, freeze the specification, then route to bulk production. Lock everything that defines identity and performance, and record it so the production partner cannot reinterpret it. Anything left vague at this stage becomes a variable the run is free to change.把一切定义产品身份与性能的要素都锁定下来，并记录在案，让生产伙伴无从重新诠释。此阶段留下任何模糊之处，都会变成生产环节可以随意改动的变量。

Not every difference is a defect. Natural materials and finishes carry batch and dye-lot variation, so a production unit can sit within an agreed range rather than being identical to the atom. Handed or mirrored units, and dimensional adjustments to suit a real site opening, are expected — provided the specification allows them. The test is whether a variation was anticipated and bounded at prototype, or whether it is drift the run introduced on its own.并非每一处不同都是缺陷。天然材料与饰面本身带有批次与染色批号的差异，因此量产单元可以落在一个约定的范围之内，而不必与原型分毫不差。左右对称（成对或镜像）的单元，以及为了配合真实现场洞口而作的尺寸调整，都是意料之中的——前提是规格允许。判断的标准在于：某项差异是否在原型阶段就已被预见并框定了范围，还是生产环节自行引入的偏移。

How to verify a production unit against the prototype如何拿量产单元与原型核对

Verification is a comparison, not a fresh opinion. Put the production unit next to the approved prototype (or its retained samples and signed spec) and check point by point, logging anything outside the agreed range as a snag before it multiplies across the batch. Raise an RFI the moment a partner proposes a substitution — an "equivalent" hinge or a near-match panel is a spec change, and it should be re-approved against the prototype, never waved through on site.核对是一种对比，而不是一次全新的主观判断。把量产单元放在已确认的原型（或其留存样板与已签署的规格）旁边，逐项核对，任何超出约定范围的地方都作为「问题项」记录下来，趁它还没在整批中扩散之前处理掉。一旦生产伙伴提出任何替换，立刻发出 RFI（技术澄清请求）——一枚「同等」的铰链或一块「近似」的板材都是规格变更，都应当重新对照原型确认通过，绝不能在现场随手放行。
