In Sarawak the dry kitchen is the show kitchen — light cooking, display, dining-facing — while the wet kitchen takes the heavy cooking, the wok heat, the water and the oil. Dry kitchen — board or plywood干厨房——板材或夹板

A dry kitchen is a dry zone, so moisture-resistant particleboard or plywood (up to ENF) is the right, cost-effective choice — the same standard you'd use for wardrobes. It is moisture-resistant, not waterproof, so keep it clear of sink splash and seal any exposed edges.干厨房是干区，因此防潮颗粒板或夹板（最高至 ENF）是正确且划算的选择——与衣柜采用同样的标准。它只是防潮、并非防水，所以要避开水槽溅水，并将任何外露边缘做好封边。

Wet kitchen — aluminium湿厨房——铝材

A wet kitchen is a wet zone: standing water, constant damp, heat and oil. This is an aluminium zone — Aluminium Composite Panel or honeycomb aluminium for the carcass and doors. Aluminium is water-, corrosion- and termite-resistant when it is properly specified, installed and maintained — it's the right answer where water lives, not a luxury upgrade.湿厨房是湿区：有积水、长期潮湿、高温与油烟。这是铝材区——柜体与柜门采用铝复合板或蜂窝铝。铝材在正确选型、安装与保养的前提下，具备抗水、抗腐蚀与抗白蚁的特性——它是有水之处的正确答案，而非奢侈升级。

Wherever the sink, dishwasher or water heater sits — even inside a 'dry' kitchen — that cabinet is a wet-zone job and should step up to aluminium.
